My family has had pets in the past (chickens and dogs). But not now. We travel quite a bit and life is busy, so we don’t feel we have the time you need to commit to a pet. My five year old is desperate to get chickens – we can probably manage that and have a good place in the back yard for a chook run, so we will likely do that soon.
I own several goldfish that we have not named. There is a family of frogs living in the storm water drains in my garden who my nephew has named The Gonzales Frog Family and I have two dogs named Frankie and Micky. Frankie is a Tenterfield Terrier X Shitzhu and Micky was rescued from the pound so we have no idea what he is. He looks like an Irish Wolfhound except white and he can fit on my lap.
Frankie was named after Rosalind Franklin (look her up). I am such a nerd 🙂

We have a chocolate labrador (Canus lupus familiaris) named Cocoa. She will be 2 in July and still acts like a puppy. At >30kg, she is a pretty big, heavy puppy who constantly knocks my children over when they play!

I don’t have any pets. I did have a couple of fruit flies that lived in my room for a little while (on purpose, I took them home from uni) but I didn’t give them names. The species was Bactocera cacuminata, sometimes more commonly known as the wild tobacco fly.

I have three chihuahuas, Gizmo, Pepper, and Monkey. We adopted them a while ago.
