Nothing. It is tempting to say something that will make the world “better”, but it is always difficult to predict the full results of any changes made – the law of unintended outcomes, or “be careful what you wish for”. The world and the life on it is a carefully balanced system and we need to work with it, not against it. The world will never be perfect, but maybe that is the way it needs to be.

Hi Shadycactus,
While there are plenty of things that we need to change about society, I think we need to go through the process of fighting for change. By fighting for it we earn it, we understand it much better.
An alternative question might be, if you could get straight A’s in school would you have them? If it means doing the work to get them then of course. But if just handed to you, then without earning it, it will mean little.
So yes there are things that i want to see changed, marriage equality, being rid of poverty, sorting out the financial system and politics and so on, but all these we need to struggle and fight for with all ideas fighting toward a common goal.

Hi Shadycactus6,
Steven and Dustin have both made some excellent points.
If I had to pick one thing, it would be that people are actually appreciated for their work/contributions to the world. A lot of people work very hard and make many excellent contributions, but are just not appreciated/recognised for it, while some people who might not work hard/do their job properly are kind of “given a free ride”. I don’t think this kind of thing is fair at all – so I guess I am wishing for equality and fairness.

If you are talking politically then there are many things I’d change but from a scientific point of view it is very hard to justify changing anything in nature as it is so finely balanced as it is.
