I’m sure the others will suggest other things but for me at least it would be the toxin made by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum called Botulinum toxin. This toxin is the most potent toxin produced in the world. As little as 40 nanograms can kill a human!
Having said this, humans have found that when mixed with lots of water and injected into your face in very small amounts it can paralyse the muscles that give you wrinkles causing your face to flatten and appear younger. We call it BoTox when it is prepared like this.

Hi Shaunm,
James has got it on this one. Botulinum appears to be the most toxic compound.
One teaspoon of it could kill a billion people.

I thought of botox when I first read this question – good to know I was thinking in the right direction!
Although, way too much of almost anything can be lethal/dangerous to humans. It does depend on how much you are exposed to – botox itself is an example of this, it can safely be injected into you at very low concentrations but is dangerous when it is more concentrated. Another example of this is that while we need water to live, too much of it can actually kill you!
