Question: what animal are you studdying at the moment

    Hi xxdrunktinyturtlexx
    Well my current research is actually focused on ecological communities broadly. What this means is that I am studying all types of animals in a system, from birds and bats, through to mammals, reptiles, and frogs. If you look in my profile you will see some pictures of the animals i am studying.

    I am only looking at vertebrates (those animals with a backbone) so not bugs, and not ones that live in the water.

    It is a great thing about my field of science; I can change my focus of the types of animals that I work with. Over the past few years, I was working only on reptiles.

    I have since left research but my work was on humans in a round-about way. I was researching bacteria to understand how to stop them causing disease in humans. I was also a teacher for a while and I had to study and learn about a lot of different animals and their evolution.

    I got to work with fruit flies for a while. They used to buzz when I went near their cage – it was very welcoming! 🙂
