Question: what is the stickiest substance known to man

  1. A bacterial cell called Caulobacter crescentus makes a sugary mix on its surface that is certainly one of the stickiest things on the planet. Someone once calculated that a small dab of it could lift the weight of several cars. It is produced by the bacteria to stop itself from being washed away by water movement so it has to be very strong.
